Action planning
You should now be ready to proceed to the action planning
stage.
Why do you need an action plan? The toolkit shows that
workforce engagement can ensure service delivery
improvement. Now, you must now make it happen.
An action plan provides clear roles and responsibilities backed
up with an effective work programme. This will ensure full engagement and
a clear way forward.
There are three stages to the action-planning workshop:
- Sharing all the information about any changes or
improvements to the service delivery with all key
stakeholders and discussing the findings of the toolkit
with a particular emphasis on workforce engagement.
- Identifying shared problems to be solved together to
deliver service improvement. Agreeing the processes that
you need to have in place to make progress.
- Agreeing on the measures of success, how progress is to
be measured and evaluated. What needs to be done to
embed this new way of working across the organisation?
